The Andhra Pradesh state election commission announced the organizing of elections in villages in the state. According to a notification issued in Amaravati on Saturday, the panchayat election will commence with the first phase on February 5 and you can vote in your district from the first phase onwards. The Government opposes the idea of elections and has moved to court against SEC’s decision to conduct polls. The Government is worried that the ongoing Covid-19 vaccination programme might be hampered by elections.
