he Ardas is a set prayer in Sikhism. Sikhism is a public religion which sees worship as a fundamental part of life. The daily rituals are referenced in the different descriptions.
A prayer has three parts. The first part speaks about the virtues of the ten Gurus of Sikhism; starting with lines from Chandi di Var by Guru Gobind Singh, the 10th Guru. The second part is about the practitioners of Sikhism, their trials and triumphs, and their petition to God. The third praises God.
