Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released their first set of candidates for the upcoming West Bengal state assembly election on March 6, 2021. The Nandigram Assembly seat in West Bengal is set for a high stakes contest where the BJP has nominated Suvendu Adhikari to take on Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. BJP announced the list of 57 candidates out of the 60 Assembly seats that will go to the polls in phase one & two each. According to sources, State vice-president Bharati Ghosh was elected to the Debra seat while Ashok Dinda, a former Indian cricketer has been elected to the Moyna seat.
