Shivaastakam is one of the most powerful mantras written to sing the glory of Lord Shiva. Devotees who fully practice the Shivaastakam Stotram after taking a bath and wearing a clean cloth go to any temple of Shiva, carrying some milk from a cow, sandalwood, flowers & rice on certain days of the week.
This Shivashtak is divided into eight verses, whose praise is an excellent means of worshiping Parambrahma Shiva. Shankaracharya himself has also said the glory of this hymn of Shiva.
